KFA reshapes Los Angeles by designing great places where people flourish. The firm has been recognized for its architectural design and master planning services for projects throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area with a focus on urban revitalization and sustainability. KFA was also an early pioneer of adaptive reuse projects, including more than 40 historic buildings in Downtown Los Angeles.
KFA Architecture has an extensive track record in designing and managing the development of affordable housing projects in Southern California. Over the past four decades, we have designed over 8,000 affordable housing units across 78 buildings for 47 different
developers, including nearly 1,000 units on Skid Row. Our expertise spans permanent supportive housing, senior housing, transitional
housing, and mixed-use developments, each tailored to meet the unique needs of the community. Our holistic approach ensures that
each project not only provides essential housing but also enhances the surrounding environment and community fabric. As active
members of SCANPH, we are thought leaders in addressing housing
challenges and continually push the boundaries of what affordable housing can achieve. Our projects are characterized by their innovative design, community-focused amenities, and sustainable practices, ensuring that we deliver high-quality, livable spaces.
