Our April Workshop: Management Liability – Directors & Officers, Employment Practices – Are You Protected?

Arroyo Insurance Services presents a panel discussion on Management Liability for nonprofit organizations. This workshop is necessary for all senior directors and managers as well as HR staff of nonprofits.

The workshop will include an overview of both Directors & Officers and Employment Practices Liability protection and what it is intended to cover.  Claims and litigation are on the rise in this arena, are frequent and costly, and the insurance marketplace is becoming less favorable for employers by narrowing coverage terms in response to claim trends.

The panel will include a Labor Attorney, an Insurance Professional and an Employer Representative.  Best practices and practical tips to avoid allegations and claims will be discussed, as will real world examples of HR practices.  Other specific discussion will center around wage and hour allegations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation or failure to provide reasonable accommodation.

Attendees of the workshop will walk away with a greater understanding of how to protect their board of directors, corporate officers, employees, volunteers and the organization as a whole.

Panelists

Insurance Professional: Bruce Newsom, President, Arroyo Insurance Services – Pasadena

Labor Attorney: Charles Goldstein, Senior Partner, The Goldstein Law Firm

Employer: Sarah Letts, Executive Director, Community Corporation of Santa Monica
